Prevention, Healing, and Lasting Wellbeing
Swasthasya swāsthya rakṣaṇam, āturasya vikāra praśamanam - Charaka Samhita
"Ayurveda aims to maintain good health in a healthy individual and to cure an individual who is diseased or unwell"
Do not sweep things under the rug!
Neglected minor concerns can grow into deeper imbalances. Ayurveda works to address the root cause before disease takes hold.
Prevention is always better than the cure!
What is true Health?
sama doṣaḥ sama agniḥ ca sama dhātu mala kriyāḥ
prasanna ātmā indriya manaḥ svastha iti abhidhīyate
- Sushruta Samhita
Ayurveda’s classical definition of health –
“A person is considered healthy when the three doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) are in balance, the digestive fire (agni) is functioning properly, the body’s tissues (dhātus) and natural waste elimination (malas – stool, urine and sweat) are working efficiently, the mind (manas), senses (indriyas), and soul (ātmā) are all in a peaceful and pleasant state. This state is called svastha – being established in one’s true self.”

Brigitte took such great care to understand my needs and ensure I was comfortable throughout every step of the process. The Kati Basti provided incredible warmth and relief to my lower back, and the Kizhi Bolus released so much tension I didn’t even realise I was holding. Each visit left me feeling lighter, more balanced, and with less pain - I always walk out of her practice feeling better than when I walked in.
